Clarence Eugene Ingram, age 77 of Massillon died May 9th at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born October 16, 1936 in Grenada, MS to the late Ben Ingram & Lula (Bowdry) Ingram. He sang with a gospel quartet 'the Spirit of Grenada'. Clarence enjoyed working on cars, playing billiards and baseball. He moved to Massillon in 1968. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters and brothers: James H. Ingram, Stonewall Ingram, Eddie Love Chandler, Lue Ella McNeil & Bennie L. Green. He married Mary C. McGee in 1956 and from this union there are seven children: Connie Tuck of San Antonio, TX, Mary Broner of Massillon, Ronnie Ingram of San Antonio, TX, Lawrence (Ava) Ingram of Birmingham, AL, William Ingram of Massillon, Anna (Warren) Fields of Spring, TX and Carolyn Ingram of Irvin, Tx. He has a sister, Anna Gee of Milwaukee, WS. There are fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. And a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service for Clarence will be 3 PM Saturday May 17th at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2 PM until the service. Donations can be made to the family for expenses.
