Clara S. Karnai

Clara S. Karnai, 88 of Massillon, passed away on October 5, 2012 at Alter Care of Navarre, following a brief illness. She was born on September 21, 1924 in Massillon to the late Leo N. & Clara A. Berens Wilhelm. She was a graduate of Washington High School , Class of 1942, received her Bachelors of Science in Education and a Masters of Business Administration from Baldwin- Wallace. Clara retired from Eaton Corp. in 1983 after 40 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Massillon, Rosary Alter Society, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Columbian Ladies Guild, Kappa Delta Pi, National Council of Catholic Women, Massillon Women's Club and was an active member of the Hot Lunch Program at the Knights of Columbus. She is survived by a brother-in-law, Paul Lucchesi of Massillon, sister –in-law , Eunice Wilhelm of Massillon, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Eleck & Carol Karnai of Canton and twelve nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Julius Karnai, six brothers, Leo, Ralph, William, Harold, Casper and Leroy Wilhelm, a sister Rita Lucchesi. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday October 10, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Massillon. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
