Clara L. Graber

Clara L. Graber age 90, of Tuscarawas Twp., passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. She was born in Canton, Ohio on September 17, 1930, to the late Cyril and Martha (Langbein) Hoot. She was a 1948 graduate of Washington High School. She married Richard Graber on July 26, 1952, and they shared 68 years together until his death in 2020. Clara worked for various employers over the years including Republic Steel, R. W. Screw, Sunnyside Eggs, and Tuslaw High School. She was a Cub Scout Den Leader, a member of the Tuslaw Band Boosters, and taught CCD classes at St. Therese Catholic Church in Brewster. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and wife. She is survived by her children: Richard (Martha) Graber, Douglas (Sharon) Graber and Michael (Jane) Graber; her grandchildren: Melissa (Jason) Gill, Adam (Caleigh) Graber, Aaron (Clare) Graber, Holly Graber, and Joseph Graber; her brother Donald Hoot; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Clara was preceded in death by her husband Richard; son Gregory; brothers Harold Hoot, Cyril (Butch) Hoot Jr. and Ernest Sarbaugh. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 10th from 9am-10am at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am at St. Therese Catholic Church (Holy Family Parish), 512 Wabash Ave S, Brewster, OH 44613. Final resting place will be Mt. Eaton Cemetery.
