Christopher “Max” Maxhimer earned his angel wings on December 30, 2023 after an extended illness. Chris was born in Massillon, Ohio on July 19, 1967 to Paul and the late Carol (Seifert) Maxhimer.
Chris loved Halloween, building models, and his beloved dogs. We get great solace knowing he is now reunited with Shaky, Prancer, and Sarah. Chris lived his life helping people. He leaves his legacy as being one of the finest EMT’s Stark county has known. He worked over 20 years as a paramedic for Smith Ambulance and Stark/Summit Ambulance. He is credited with teaching many paramedics in the area on not just how to be a paramedic but to be a caring and compassionate paramedic. Chris loved his job and considered his colleagues family.
He is survived by three sisters Linda Sibila, Jacquie (Dave) Hartman, Lorie Callahan and brother Jeff (Denise) Fink along with many nieces and nephews. His lifelong friend Dale Eaves and many, many more friends.
Family and friends will gather to Celebrate Chris’s life at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on January 14, 2024 from 1pm-5pm.
The family would like to thank his hospice nurse Laura and the Woodlawn Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Stark County Humane
Society in Chris’s name.
Messages of condolence and support may be sent to the family at www.paquelet.com
