Christine E. Grimes

Christine E. (Harig) Grimes age 40 of Massillon passed away November 9, 2009 at Aultman Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 10, 1969 in Massillon to Robert & Beverlee (Roach) Harig Jr. Chris was a 1987 graduate of Washington High School where she participated in both the band and choir. She graduated from Malone College with a BA in Education and was a substitute teacher for the Massillon Schools. Christine was a joy to everyone who knew her. She had a smile that would light up a room and a laugh that was contagious. Chris loved music and sang like an angel. At one point she was in the music ministry of High Mill Church where she was also involved in the Women’s Bible Study. Recently she attended Faith Community Fellowship. Chris is survived by her husband of eighteen years, Jerry Grimes, two sons, Jeremy Grimes & Jerrod Grimes; a sister, Amy (Mark) Gradijan; a brother Jason ‘Jae’ (Victoria) Harig;; her mother Beverlee Harig, her father Robert Harig Jr. two nieces Camryn and Madison and a nephew, Ashton. A Celebration of her life will be 10 AM Thursday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Her final resting place will be Brookfield Cemetery.
