Christine A. "Teeny" Harder

Christine A. "Teeny" Harder, age 72 of Massillon passed away July 31, 2014 following an 11 month battle with colon cancer. Chris was born in Massillon on January 11, 1942 to the late Gus & Olga Pachis (Sarianides). She was a 1959 graduate of Massillon Washington High School. Chris was sassy, artistic, loyal, stubborn, fun-loving, creative, witty, loud, friendly, motherly, passionate, wise, sarcastic, loving, and a procrastinator extraordinaire. She was a lover of The Massillon Tigers, Florida beaches, bingo, birds, card-playing, chocolate, chapstick, the Mountaineer, and her grandchildren (to the moon and back), maker of apple pie, potato salad, Italian sausage, chicken salad, and Greek rice, and a wielder of wooden spoons, hot wheel tracks, paint brushes, poker chips, bingo daubers, loving embraces, and strong opinions. In addition to her parents, Chris was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Norwood "Woody" Harder (2003). Chris is survived by three children: Noreen (Jeff) Print, Kathy (Donald) Mason, and Mark (Michelle) Harder, six grandchildren: Mandy, Ethan, MacKenzie, Mason, Jesse, Raegan, one great-grandchild: Brayden, two brothers: Gus (Karen) Pachis, Tim (Sherri) Pachis, and her many beloved friends and family. We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the angels at the Laurels and Crossroads Hospice who cared for our Mom and supported our family. A celebratory pep rally will be held Saturday August 9th from 1 to 3 pm at Paquelet Funeral Home, with her final kick-off at 3 pm. Orange and black attire is suggested.
