Christina Lee Fichter

Christina Lee Fichter age 57 of Canton passed away Tuesday November 4, 2008 while on a cruise with her husband Alan Fichter. Christina was born August 7, 1951 in Akron to the late John & Delores ‘Wilma’ (Lawler) Simms, was raised in Canton and a Timken High School graduate. She was the owner operator of Mr. John Coiffure. Chris was able to achieve several of her life goals. She followed her father as a beautician, had the pleasure of five previous cruises, loved snorkeling and went to the ocean often. Her grandchildren were upper most in her life; they will be able to remember the parties, especially the recent ‘Halloween’ hayride. Her caring about others made her the best friend of many. Christina is survived by her husband of 39 years Alan A. Fichter; three sons and daughters in law, Alan J. & Jennifer Fichter, Shane A. & Tammy Fichter and Chad J. & Shawnna Fichter all of Canton; two sisters and a brother in law, Cyrena Burleson of Massillon and Cyndi & John Munger of Jackson Twp. There are seven grandchildren: Brock, Blaze, Autum, Paxton, Payton, Logan and Taylor. Chris would say to the grandkids, ‘you are loved a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck’. A Celebration of Chris’s Life will be 10:30 AM Friday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The Rev. Tim Brown will lead the remembrance. Friends are invited to join with the family and share memories on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Chris would like to be remembered with donations to the Memorial Fund at Akron Children’s Hospital, Foundation Office, One Perkins Square, Akron, OH 44308.
