Chester L. Nicholson

Chester L. Nicholson, 83 of Canton, passed away of natural causes unexpectedly on Thursday, September 28, 2017. He was born on May 27, 1934 in Harrisville, WV and was the son of the late Edward L. and Hazel (Gandy) Nicholson. Following graduation from high school, Chet served his country with the U.S. Army. He was a mechanic by trade and retired from Fleming Foods. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanette, his daughter Debbie Nicholson, his stepdaughter Diana Westfall and his brother Carlos Nicholson. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Kennedy) Nicholson, his son Doug (Cindi) Nicholson, daughters, Vicki (Mike) Young, Kathie (John) Molesky and Connie (Chris) Johnson, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, his brother Chuck (Billie) Nicholson and his sister-in-law Evelyn Nicholson. A service to celebrate Chets’ life will take place at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Fellowship Church, 6282 Nave Road SW, Canton, OH 44706.
