Cheryl Lynn Shaw

Cheryl Lynn Shaw, 80, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away September 2, 2024. She was born on February 12, 1944 to the late Homer and Vivian Matson.

Cheryl was very involved with the MDA, she ran multiple muscular dystrophy telethons and fundraisers. She was an avid Massillon Tiger Swing Band and Football fan. Cheryl was active at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed collecting snowmen and sewing. At one point in time, she had a business making silk flower arrangements. She was on the 1962 class reunion committee and continued to stay in touch with her classmates.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Shaw; two sons, David Shaw and Bill Shaw; grandchildren, Ryan Shaw, Brad Shaw, and Zane Shaw; and siblings, Elaine Edwards and Paul Matson.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin (Tim) Shaw Wilcox; daughter-in-law Pamela Shaw; adopted son, Fred Alexander and family; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a niece and nephew; and many special friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, September 6, 2024 at the funeral home with another hour of visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
