Charlotte L. Gerstenslager

Charlotte L. Gerstenslager age 76 of Massillon passed away Wednesday July 10, 2013 at University Hospital. Charlotte was born May 3, 1937 in Dover to the late Charles & Lillian (Walther) Steiner. She was a 1955 graduate of Washington High School. Charlotte and Mike started Gerstenslager Construction in 1960. From the very beginning she was at Mike's side helping with the books and daily operations. A daily part of her family's life, Charlotte was the glue to make everything come together. She was an incredible source of wisdom for her family. And her joy of love, was her family, grandchildren and poodles. In addition to her parents a sister Linda Zimmerman preceded her in death. Charlotte is survived by her husband of 56 years, Mike Gerstenslager; and three children. Penny Gerstenslager, Chad Gerstenslager and Chip (Keri) Gerstenslager and their three children; Kendra, Erika and Austin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday July 15, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, her pastor Fr. Edward Gretchko will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
