Charlotte Jean Evans

"Together Again" Charlotte Jean Evans, age 90, of Massillon, passed away May 29, 2022. Charlotte was born December 7, 1931, in Orrville, Ohio to Stanley and Geraldine (Wolgamott) Moore, raised by Geraldine and husband Donald Stutzman. Charlotte was a member of Grace United Church of Christ and enjoyed golf and bowling. She was also a member of card club, garden club, and square-dancing club and volunteered at the local voting polling locations. She was a 1949 graduate of Orrville High School and was a member of the band as well as a majorette and state finalist in speech. In addition to her parents, Charlotte was also preceded in death by her loving husband Orvis. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey O. (Oleta) Evans, Dean B. Evans, and Mark D. (Linda) Evans, grandchildren Ben Evans, Abby (Jeremy) Knowles, Kristy (Travis) Caples, Afton (Ari) Lukas, Orvis (Elina Lim) Evans, Deidre Evans, great-grandchildren Wylan Evans, Claire Knowles, Jude Knowles, Charlotte Knowles, Molly Caples, Simon Caples, Calvin Caples, Addy Lukas, Asher Lukas, and sister, Rae Ann Stutzman. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Paquelet Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Church of Christ, 933 Main Ave W, Massillon, Ohio 44647.
