Charles W. “Chuck” Sypolt, age 87 of Canton, died Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Affinity Medical Center – Massillon Campus. He was born on April 8, 1919 in Rowlesburg, WV and was the son of the late Harry & Margie (Haigler) Sypolt. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Marines. In 1958 he started Chuck Sypolt Chevrolet, Inc. in East Canton and in 1982 he moved the dealership to Lousville, OH. Shortly after the move, he retired, turning the dealership over to his sons, David & Charles “Chuck” Sypolt. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Other memberships included, The Clinton Lodge F & AM # 47, Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton and the Tadmor Shrine, the Louisville Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Massillon B.P.O.E. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret A. “Peggy” Sypolt in July of 2006 his grandson Brian Sypolt and his sister Lou Snodgrass. He is survived by his sons and their spouses, David W. & Brenda Sypolt of St. Charles, IL and Charles H. “Chuck” & Jane Sypolt of Louisville, OH, his grandchildren and their spouses, Scott Sypolt, Kevin & Renee Sypolt, Kelly Parker and John & Melanie Sypolt and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Lalama officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 PM. The Clinton Lodge will hold services on Friday at 5:45 PM.
