Charles R. Daniels, 84, of Dalton, passed away October 25, 2022, at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster. He was born on April 18, 1938, in Sandlick, West Virginia to the late Fred and Velma Daniels.
Charlie worked at Buckeye Feed Mill and retired after 40+ years of service. During his working years, he was very devoted to taking care of his family and providing for them. Later in life, Charlie enjoyed gardening, taking care of his yard, and even enjoyed shopping with his wife.
Above all, Charlie loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed getting the occasional ice cream cone or milkshake too.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Richard Daniels, Susan Daniels, Joey Daniels, and Lisa Daniels; siblings Margaret (Sonny) Pack, James (Helen) Daniels, Jesse (Mildred) Daniels, Carlos (Jolene) Daniels, Bruce (Vicky) Daniels, Patty Smith, Tim (Mary) Daniels, Brenda (Robert) Lawson, Nancy (William) Harris, and Linda (Ron) Carpenter; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Flossie (Collins) Daniels; his sons David Daniels, Jason T. Daniels who passed away unexpectedly on October 20, 2022, his daughter Karen Daniels; and sisters Mary Gordon, Judy Radcliff, and Barbara Stover.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 1st from 5-6 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. for Charlie, as well as his son, Jason.
