Charles Kelley, age 84 of Massillon, died on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Affinity Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 24, 1925 in Brewster, Ohio and was the son of the late Leonard Paul and Mary Ellen (Moder) Kelley. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy. In 1985, he retired from the former Tyson Roller Bearing Company (SKF) following a 36 year career. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, the Clinton Lodge #47, F. & A.M. and the Massillon American Legion. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Paul Kelley and his granddaughter Rachel Kelley.. He is survived by his wife, Cleo J. (Longworth) Kelley, whom he married on March 21, 1959, three daughters, Elizabeth (Jim) Bambam of Akron, OH, Susan (George) Meese of New Philadelphia, OH and Becky Longworth (Gary) Smith of Dover, OH, two sons, Charles (Judi) Kelley of Massillon and Timothy (Cathy) Kelley of Massillon, grandchildren, Lori (Jenn) Kelley, Kris (George) Jones, Lisa (Chad) Tope, Amber (Chris) Stewart, Sara Kelley, Austin (Colin) Chesley, Cary Smith, Brittany (Ben) Evans, Angie (Will) Wines, Gracie Kelley, Timmy Kelley and Lucas Kelley and nine great grandchildren. A service to celebrate his life will take place on Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at Epworth United Methodist Church with Rev. Lee Peters officiating. The family will receive friends at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. and at the church one hour before the service on Thursday. Cremation will follow.
