Charles Harry Jacobs

Charles Harry Jacobs, 82, passed away on October 13, 2017, following an extended illness. He was born in Vincent Ohio on July 24, 1935 to the late Henry and Verna (Wilson) Jacobs. Charles moved to the area in 1942 and worked for and retired from Ohio Power Co. (AEP). He was a veteran serving in the United States Army and United States Navy. He was a member of The American Legion, Eagles, Canton McKinley Rifle & Pistol Club and the A.E.P. Veterans Club. Charles is survived by his wife, Verna Rae (Curley) Jacobs, whom he married on December 17, 1956; their children, Charles H. (Jeannie) Jacobs, Jr. of North Canton and Denise (William Strzepek) Jacobs of Columbus; four grandchildren, Gabriel and Keegan Strzepek, Abbey and Alison Jacobs; a brother, Marvin E. Jacobs; and a sister, Shirley Miller. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Oscar Jacobs. A grave side service will be held at The Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 2:30pm, Rev. Les Peine officiating.
