Charles E. Bud Moyer

Charles E. “Bud” Moyer age 93 of Massillon passed away Friday February 4, 2011 at Chapel Hill Community. Charlie was born November 5, 1917 in Louisville to the late Cyrus & Lucy (Reno) Moyer and lived in Massillon most of his life. Charles retired from Republic Steel in 1977 as a foreman in the Mechanical Dept. He enjoyed boating, water skiing, woodworking, and fixing any kind of motor for friends and neighbors. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Noreen (Hawk) Moyer in 2008, a son Charles L Moyer, a brother Robert Moyer and four sisters Anne May, Florence Mason, Bertha Beddell and Nellie Beltz. Mr. Moyer is survived by a daughter & son in law, Becky & George McArthur of Jackson Twp.; two grandchildren, Kimberly & Steven Roberts, Shawn & Stacey McArthur and five great grandchildren: Dalton, Sienna, Cory, Shawn II & Samuel. Two surviving sisters: Josephine McCauley & Mary Jane Hailstone Funeral Service will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
