Charles “Chuck” R. Aneshansel, 83, of Massillon, passed away on May 24, 2017 at Affinity Medical Center. He was born on December 20, 1933 in Newport, Kentucky to the late Edwin and Helen (Meyer) Aneshansel. Chuck was a 1955 graduate of The Ohio State University where he received his bachelor’s degree. He also proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 3 years. He married Julia “Betty” Burdette on June 9, 1955. They shared 61 years together filled with love, laughter and many memories. Chuck worked for the State of Ohio as a horticulturist and retired from there after 33 years of service. He was also a member of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church. Chuck enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his furry companion, Beau. He will be deeply missed by his wife; children, Richard (Rita) Aneshansel, Cynthia (Mike) Eckert and Robert (Kelly) Aneshansel; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held at St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church, 8697 Mudbrook St NW, Massillon, OH 44646, on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 11 am to 12 pm with a service to follow at noon.
