Charles Allen Gibbs Sr.

Charles A. Gibbs Sr. age 79 passed away on March 30, 2013. He was born in Canton on July 24, 1933 to the late Harold and Kathryn Gibbs. He was a 1952 graduate McKinley High School. Charles married Mary Minto on February 14, 1964 and they shared 40 years together until her passing on July 2, 2004. Charles served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was an avid fisherman and a big history buff. He will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Charles is survived by his children, Melody Carpenter, Charles A.(Michele) Gibbs and Chad (Brandy) Gibbs; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and his best friend Tina Laird. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church at 726 Cleveland Avenue NW, Canton OH. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 1 P.M.
