Charlene “ Starwolf” Eckelberry Macuski, age 66 of Canton , went home unexpectedly Friday, May 27, 2011. She was born in Massillon March 10, 1945 to the late Catherine Verostek and Charles Eckelberry. She was raised in Newman and graduated 1964 from Tuslaw High School. Charlene lived her entire life in the Massillon Canton area and worked as an independent freelance photographer. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Massillon, a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F. W. Post 9795 of Canal Fulton and she founded the Alleghenny United Indian Church in Canton. She is survived by: Her Son, Eric “Redhawk” Macuski of Canton, Daughter, Terra K. Moore of Kansas City MO., Two Grandsons; Ethan and Blake, Three sisters; Florence (Harold, Jr.) Simon of Massillon, Marthajean ( David) Bender of CO and Carole ( Preston) Justice of WY, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her very dear friend Ed Maddox. Friends may call one hour prior to a Funeral service held at 11:30 AM Tuesday May 31, 2011 at Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon conducted by Rev. Fr. Ed Gretcho. The Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 9795 will hold a memorial service at 10:30 am Tuesday. Burial will be in Forest Hill. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Charlene’s name to the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon. Messages of support and sympathy may be sent to the family at www.paquelet.com.
