Cecil "Dutch" E. Archer, 78, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, following a brief illness. He was born in Creston on April 21, 1937 to the late Herbert C. and Anna L. (Boyes) Archer. Dutch was a veteran of the United States Army and worked for Culligan of Wooster until his retirement. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Massillon and the former Massillon Moose. He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Smith) Archer; son, Rickie (Carol) Archer of Stow; two granddaughters, Maria and Erica Archer; two sisters, Shirley Archer of Wooster and Norma Zimmerman of Lorain; and two brothers, Gerald (Jean) Archer of Levittown, PA and David (Erma) Archer of Wooster and his four legged companion, Sadie. Dutch was also preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia A. (Killian) Archer; three brothers, William, Dewain and Raymond Archer; and a sister, Mary Troxell. Friends may call from 2:00pm-5:00pm on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home and on Monday October 5, 2015 from 10:00am -11:00am at First Baptist Church, Massillon, where funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Dr. Roger Alber, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
