Catherine J. Nickol

Catherine J. Nickol, 88 of Massillon, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016. Catherine was born on November 11, 1927 in Pleasant City, Ohio the daughter of the late John and Frances (Kirkbride) Geibel. She was a lifelong resident of Massillon. Catherine was an avid bingo player and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Nickol in 2006; brothers, James, Bernard, Raymond, Jess and Charles Geibel; and her sisters Ruth Reese and Clara Nickerson. She is survived by her sons Robert J. Nickol of Navarre and Mark S. (Linda) Nickol of Massillon; 3 grandchildren; great grandchildren, Steven Nickol and Karson Harless; brother John Geibel of New Mexico; and sisters Betty Mathers of Massillon and Phyllis Lowther of Pennsylvania. A Celebration of Catherine's life will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
