Catherine Haubert

Catherine Haubert, 97, of Massillon, passed away peacefully at her home on January 18, 2022. She was born on August 18, 1924 in Massillon to the late Mark and Mary (Barich) Turkall. She was a graduate of Washington High School. Catherine was also a life-long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon where she was a member of the Christian Mother Society. Not only was she dedicated to her church but also her community. Catherine was a member of the Columbian Ladies, as well as secretary for many years at the CFU Lodge 600. One of her greatest passions outside of church and her club involvements was bowling. Catherine was an avid bowler, running many bowling leagues over the years and even bowling her last game at age 95. She also loved playing BINGO. Catherine was the matriarch of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Marie Haubert and her son John (Betsy) Haubert; grandsons Ryan, Michael and Mark; siblings Anna Herrick and Rudy Turkall. In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank H. Haubert and her three brothers George, Joseph and Frank. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 21st from 10am to 11am at St. Joseph Church in Massillon. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin promptly at 11am at the church and burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
