Caryll E. Hayden, age 92 of Massillon, died on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Rose Lane Health Care Center. She was born on November 16, 1915 in Massillon, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mabel (Wyatt) Atkinson. She was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1932. Caryll enjoyed oil painting, cake painting, square dancing and was a hula dancing instructor. As a resident of Rose Lane she was able to have a one woman art show which was one of her lifelong dreams. Caryll lived a very colorful life and was friends with many presidents and became friends with actors and actresses. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Hayden, her son John T. Hayden and her grandson Derek DeBock. She is survived by her children, Judy MacArthur of England, Richard Hayden of Massillon and Fred Hayden of Pembrooke Pines, FL; grandchildren, Tami Hawkins, Jennifer Johnson, Christ, John, Sarah & Rebecca Hayden; great grandchildren, Van Hawkins, Jake and Lance Johnson. There are no calling hours. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
