Carolyn S. Talkington

Carolyn S. Talkington, age 65 of Massillon, passed away on March 17, 2022. She was born in Calhoun County, West Virginia on May 05, 1956, to the late Thurl and Wanetta (Sampson) Rogers. She married John Talkington in 1979 and they shared 24 years together until his death in 2003. Carolyn was the cook at Top of the Viaduct for 30 years until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, shopping at Thrift Stores and spending time with her family. Carolyn was a well-liked person and willing to help anyone in need. She will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Christy N. Talkington; her brothers Johnnie Rogers, Tony (Lisa) Rogers, Gary (Joellen) Rogers and Ronnie Rogers; her sister Cheryl Rogers and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother, Gearl Rogers and her sister, Rose Rogers. A Celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 4p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home & Crematory in Massillon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 1p.m. at Brookfield Cemetery on Monday, March 28, 2022.
