Carolyn R. Kertes, age 81 of Jackson Twp. went home to be with the Lord on April 11, 2021. She was born on February 20, 1940 in Canton to the late Paul and Flossie (Palmer) Rodgers. She was a 1958 graduate of Canton Lincoln High School. She married Joseph R. Kertes on April 14, 1963 and they shared 58 wonderful years together. Carolyn worked as an Accounts Receivables Manager for U.S. Chemical until her retirement. She enjoyed shopping, reading, crossword puzzles and Southern Gospel Music. She made the best cut out cookies and most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Joe, her children Rick Kertes and Steven (Ronnda) Kertes; her grandchildren Michael Allison, Sara Allison, Jeremy Allison, Kade Kertes; her special niece Linda (Mark) Alper and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her siblings Robert, Lauren, Leah, Danny and Charlotte. A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 11a.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home and will be livestreamed through the Paquelet Funeral home website. Facebook Live Streaming . Father Tom Bishop will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11a.m. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Carolyn’s memory to the American Diabetes Association. Continuing with COVID-19 precautions, all attending will be asked to follow proper social distancing protocol and masks are required.
