Carolyn M Sample

Carolyn M. Sample, 92, of Massillon, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Sprenger Health Care. She was born on February 2, 1925 in Harmon, Ohio to the late Frank and Pearl (Kennedy) Medure. Carolyn married Charles Sample on July 4, 1941. They shared 66 loving years together before Charles passed away in 2008. Carolyn was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and volunteered in their soup kitchen. She was also a volunteer for Affinity Medical Center and the Massillon Public Library. In her spare time, Carolyn loved travelling with her husband, especially to the local casino. She also enjoyed the company of her cat, Tiki. Carolyn will be deeply missed by her son Charles (Linda) Sample and grandson Steven (Christina) Sample. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Connie Bowman and brother Tony Medure. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Raymond Paul officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 322 3rd St SE, Massillon, OH 44646.
