Carolyn Jean Patterson

Carolyn Jean Patterson, 73 passed away on Wednesday February 22, 2012. surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her own home. Carolyn was born on July 23, 1938 in Ripley WV to the late Milford E. Sargent and Gatha M. (Ferguson) Sargent. She had resided in Massillon most of her life. Carolyn loved the outdoors and was known for her green thumb and gardening. She will be most remembered for being a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #190. Carolyn is survived by her longtime companion of 25 years, Fred Nickels,. Her children, Debbie Myers, Allen Patterson, Judy Threm, Vonda (David) Patterson, and Ronald (Rachel) Patterson, 10 Grandchildren. 1 sister, Sandra (Stan) Hopkins, 2 brothers Troy (Sheila) and Leonard (Carol) Sargent. Her step-children, Rockie (Mindy) Jody(Esther) and Mike (Lori) Nickels. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Donald Patterson Jr., a brother, Edward Sargent, a sister, Doris Collins. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1P.M on Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Pastor Chad Durfee will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M. on Sunday, February 26, 2012 and 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens following the service.
