Carolyn J Doney

Carolyn J. Doney, age 85 of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021. She was born in Newcomerstown, OH on November 27, 1935 to the late James and Jayne (Lee) Lewis. She married Gene C. Doney in 1953 and they shared 58 years together until his passing in 2011. Carolyn was a homemaker and took care of her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, going to garage sales and crocheting. Carolyn will be remembered as a devoted and loving mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister and friend. She is survived by her children; Jayne Doney, Tamara Leonard and Joshua (Jennifer) Doney; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; her sisters Rhonda (Hank) Caiazza and Donna (Byron) Pearce and a host of family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by her daughter Melanie Stano; her sister Shirley Rodgers and a brother. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
