Carolyn A. Bontrager

Carolyn A, Bontrager, age 76 of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at the Hospice Care Center in Akron, Ohio. She was born on October 27, 1931 in Kalona, Iowa and was the daughter of the late Christopher and Viola (Hershberger) Bontrager. She had lived in various areas of the country before relocating back to Massillon 13 years ago. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Velma Yoder and Betty Messenger, her granddaughter Angela, her great granddaughter Breanna, her son-in-law Barry Borton and her brother-in-law Elmer Friesen. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jerry and Susan Alberts of Dover, Sheryl Borton of Massillon, Crystal Alberts and Lyle Schulte of Akron, and Sheila Alberts of Glendale, AZ, 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, her sisters Clara Belle (Omar) Schlabaugh of Washington, IA, Marjorie Friesen of Newton, KS, Helen Miller of Hesston, KS, her brother Marlyn Bontrager of Hesston, KS and last but not least, her precious puppy Pekoe. A service to celebrate the life of Carolyn Bontrager will take place on Thursday at 7:00 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Thayer officiating.
