Carolina Selan

Carolina Selan, age 89 of Massillon, died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Affinity Medical Center- Massillon Campus. She was born on June 20, 1917 in Brewster, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Michael and Marie (Reichmann) Stroh. Carolina graduated from the former Brewster High School with the class of 1936. She moved to Massillon in 1937. She was the head cook at Lorin Andrews Junior High School for 27 years and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Selan on June 25, 1997, sisters, Mary Ann Koprivec, Justina Cardelli and her brothers Michael Stroh, Rudolph Stroh, Anthony Stroh and Karl Stroh and granddaughter, Dawn DiLuzio. She is survived by her daughters, Joan Selan and Judith (Merle) Webb both of Massillon and Patricia DiLuzio of Strasburg, OH, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and her sister Frances (Harry) Gamble of Brewster and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her life will take place on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon at 11 AM with Fr. Raymond L. Paul officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Tuesday from 5 – 8 PM and 10 – 10:45 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
