Carole Jan Rusyn

Carole Jan Rusyn, 82, of Green, went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2024 at Canton Mercy Hospital. She was born on January 16, 1942 to Clara and Vernon Serle.

Carole enjoyed spending time with family, including her husband of 59 years, Henry T. Rusyn. She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a friend. She was very family oriented and enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren. Carole loved to cook and was known for her homemade vegetable soup. She enjoyed playing solitaire on her computer and watching her favorite movies on television. She retired from Target, after many years working there. Her and Henry had a love for pets and rescued animals for many, many years, their most recent dog being Chance, who passed away last October. Carole was the sweetest lady, with a heart of gold. She was kind to everyone around her and loved by so many.

Carole is survived by her husband, Henry Rusyn. Her children, Holly and John Rusyn. Her grandchildren, Alycia Harper (Cody Harper), Hannah Greenamyer (Skylar Greenamyer), and Johnny Rusyn. Her brother, Norman (Suzanne) Serle. As well as many nieces and nephews, including Sheryl Hall, Tommy and Sharon Serle, Michelle Riegler (Henry’s niece) and her children Annie and Jake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and Vernon Serle, her brothers Vernon and Kenneth and her sister, Marion. and others.

Per Carole’s request, no service will be held and cremation will take place. A celebration of life will be held with her family only.
