Carol Kay Janson, 77, of Navarre, went home to be with the Lord, on December 10, 2017 after a brief illness. Carol was born on October 13, 1940 in Massillon, Ohio to the late Daniel and Mildred (Frank) Luckring. She married Arthur “Art” Janson on August 8, 1997. They shared 20 loving years together. Carol worked for Massillon Container Company and retired after 25 years of service. She attended Holy Family Parish (St. Clement’s) in Navarre and was very active within the church. In her spare time, Carol enjoyed cross-stitching, reading and was an avid sports enthusiast. Most importantly, Carol was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her husband Art; children Daniel (Cheryl) Axe, Paige (Richard) Barry, and Beth (Jill) Janson; grandchildren Bethany Axe, Molly Axe, Ethan Axe, Zachary Barry, Kaylee Barry and Reggie Barry. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Parish (St. Clement’s). Burial will follow at St. Clement’s Cemetery in Navarre.
