Carol Mae Henry, age 62 of Massillon, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 11, 2006. She was born on December 21, 1943 in Massillon to the late Thomas and Catherine Solinger. Carol was a member at Massillon Baptist Temple, where she was actively involved with the choir, the Sunshine Group for the shut – ins, helping with meals for funerals and banquets. Carol was also a volunteer with Hospice, and sewed for Massillon Christian School and for the Massillon Baptist Temple. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, gardening and collecting dolls. Carol enjoyed being a homemaker. She truly enjoyed serving the Lord and spending time with her grandchildren and family. Along with parents she was preceded in death by: Brothers: Thomas J., Ted, Robert, Gene, and David Solinger Grand-daughter: Madison She is survived by: Husband; Thomas L. Henry married on Nov. 28, 1964 Daughters: Barbara (Kim) McCallin of Brewster Cindy Badertscher of Wooster Brothers: James R. Solinger of Massillon Gary Solinger of Dalton Grandchildren: Jamie, Ashton, Kaylee, Logan, Kyle, Casey, and Danny Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Massillon Baptist Temple with calling hours one hour prior to the service at the church. Calling hours will be held at Arnold – Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon on Monday from 6-8 p.m. Bro. Jay Dolvin and Bro. Dan Sundae of Massillon Baptist Temple will be Officiating. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. The family suggests donations be made to: Massillon Baptist Temple or Massillon Christian School.
