Carol Ann Frederick

Carol A. Frederick, age 76 passed away on April 14, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 28, 1936 in Canton to the late Edward Crawford and Edna (Perrott) Crawford. She was a 1954 graduate of Timken High School. Carol married Clark (Corky) A. Frederick on October 4, 1958 and they shared 54 wonderful years together. Carol worked as the Office Manager for The Parisian Company and later worked for the Akro Corporation in the Accounting Department. Carol was an avid traveler visiting all 50 states, a diehard Cleveland Indian's fan, and most importantly she treasured the time she spent with her family and friends. Carol and Corky spent many years coaching the girls gymnastic team at the Massillon YMCA. The summers she and Corky spent working at Grand Teton National Park, the eight spring break vacations with Keith and Cory and her girls trips with Christy and Cathy were some of her happiest memories. Carol will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mom and grandma and for her strong, always positive attitude. She faced her cancer diagnosis head on and inspired everyone with her bravery, amazing spirit and unwillingness to give up or give in. In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her daughters, Christy (Gayle) Kanz and Cathy Frederick; her grandchildren Keith and Cory Kanz and her aunt, Betty Gaspers, as well as four loved grand-dogs. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Barbara Lampkin and Donna Erickson and brother Edward Crawford. Funeral Services will be at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 11 A.M. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 P.M on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memory Gardens in Massillon.
