Carol A. Rice

Carol A. Rice, 83, passed away on August 19, 2016, following an extended illness. She was born in Massillon on August 12, 1933 to the late John and Gertrude (Ricosky) Weinand. Carol was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She loved to work with flowers, garden and cook. She loved family gatherings and was a whiz at Jeopardy. She was a member of St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband, Donald J. Rice, whom she married on December 17, 1950; their children, Diane Rice, Donna Rice, Ronald D. (Rita) Rice and Terry (Debra) Rice; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Timothy and Robert Weinand. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Lee Rice; and two brothers, John and David Weinand. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Monday, August 22, 2016 from 6:00pm-8:00pm and at the St Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 10:00am-11:00am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am. The Rev. Dr. Bruce Roth, officiating. Burial will follow at Union Lawn Cemetery, Navarre.
