Carol A. Dolezal

Carol A. Dolezal, 87, passed away at her home on March 5, 2022, with her loving husband by her side. She was born on September 28, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John and Ann Salata. She was a 1952 graduate of the former Lourdes High School in Cleveland. Carol was also a member of St. Wendelin Parish of Cleveland. She married the love of her life, Charles “Chuck” Dolezal on February 14, 1972. They relocated a few times throughout their marriage, but Carol was always sure to make each house a home with her keen eye for decorating or adding a special touch with her one-of-a-kind crafts. Carol was also a very talented ballroom dancer as well as Chuck. They attended monthly dances together, always improving their skill and just enjoying each other’s company as they danced the night away. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 50 years, Chuck Dolezal and her children Bonnie Stevens, Melissa (Lonnie) Grombol, Charles (Sandy) Dolezal and Steven Dolezal; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loving knew her as “Nana”. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her son Matthew Dolezal and her two daughters Sandra Nickels and Donna Stevens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 10th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 11th at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Massillon. Final resting place will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Cleveland.
