Carmen Jean Close

Carmen J. Close, 51, of Massillon, passed away following a long, courageous journey of health complications. She was born on February 25, 1967 in Canton to Jerry and Carmen (Nervo) Grant. Carmen worked at Sally’s Beauty Supply store for over 10 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to music, reading and always had a happy spirit before her health started to decline. Carmen’s greatest passion in life was being a mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered as an amazing mom and wonderful Nama to her four grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She will be deeply missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Tiffani and Brandon Gulley; her mother Carmen Warth; and the light of her life, her grandchildren, Blake, Maddison, Ellieanna and McKenna. Carmen was preceded in death by her father Jerry Grant. In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation will take place and a service will be held at a later date.
