Burnett L. Trice, age 92 of Massillon, went home to the Lord on Friday, August 3, 2012 at Affinity Medical Center. Burnett was born on April 19, 1920 in Paducah, Kentucky. He was a United States veteran serving our country in the Army during WWII. Burnett worked at Massillon Steel Casting for 30 yrs. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Massillon, where he served on the usher board. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #221. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola M. Trice in 1997, their infant son William Trice, parents Lillian and Lizzie Trice and several brothers and sisters. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children; Burnett E. Trice, Hubert A. Trice, and Maureen (Max) McClendon; his grandchildren, DaShunta, CaLandra (Lisbon) James, LaToya, Ebony, Cocoa, LaKisha, Alicia, and JaNet; 16 great-grandchildren; his sister, Ella Mae (Jim) Howard; his special daughter, Sara Trice; and his best friends Dave MacMillan, and Mr. and Mrs. William Smith. A Home Going Celebration will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) at Shiloh Baptist Church in Massillon. His pastor, Rev. Anthony Robinson, Sr. will be Officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10-12 P.M. on Wednesday. Messages of comfort and support may be sent to the family at www.paquelet.com.
