Bruce E. Reiger

Bruce E. Reiger, age 63 of Brewster passed away Friday April 3, 2009 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was on his annual spring golfing trip with his buddies. Bruce was born September 5, 1945 in Dover to the late Grant & Johanna (Wilds) Reiger and was raised in Strasburg and Canton. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and entered the Navy and served in Viet Nam. He was employed by Republic Steel for 36 years and the Timken Company for 2 years retiring in 2007. His memberships include the VFW #3124, AmVets, FOE, Elks and the Brewster Moose. His real vocation was following high school sports, golfing and spending time with his canine buddy ‘Ralph’. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 23 years Pat (Snyder) Reiger of the residence, a brother and sister in law, Donald & Jackie Reiger of Navarre. There are four nephews and a niece: Jim Snyder, W. Andrew Reiger, Adam (Lisa) Reiger, Stephen Chandler and Stephenie Chandler. His funeral service will be 10 AM Wednesday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. His nephew Rev. Adam Reiger will officiate. Burial will be at Grandview Union Cemetery in Strasburg, OH. Friends may call 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donation for the benefit of VA patients can be sent to VFW Post #3124.
