Brenda Lou Kompara

My beautiful wife, Brenda L. Kompara, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Meadow Winds Health Care Center, due to complications from Parkinson’s disease. She was born September 1, 1939 in Massillon, Ohio to Evan and Eilean (Beebe) Gard. Brenda married Robert E. Kompara on March 21, 1959. They shared 58 loving years together. She worked as a certified respiratory therapist technician at Aultman Hospital for 33 years before retiring. Brenda was also a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, especially on cruises with her husband and loved fine dining. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Robert; son, Robert T. (Angie) Kompara; Grandchildren, Amanda (Lawrence) Corrin, Brian (Leslie) Kompara and Jason (Lena) Kompara; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara (Cameron) Speck. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her children, Ronald, Brian and Laura Kompara and sister, Linda Moore. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church in Massillon at 1:00 pm. Friends may call one hour prior.
