Bonnie Conaway, 93, of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. Bonnie was born on January 5, 1929, in Monongalia County, West Virginia to the late David and Martha (Tennant) Glover. She met the love of her life Victor Conaway when they were just teenagers and were married on December 9, 1944. Shortly after they married, Victor went off to fight in WWII and Bonnie became one of the iconic Rosie the Riveter's. This was so fitting for Bonnie because at a young age she was independent, strong and self-taught in many aspects of her life. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church and was an avid bowler with her husband, Victor. After Victor's retirement, the two of them did some extensive traveling in which they traveled all 50 states together. Bonnie was also known for her wealth of knowledge. She mostly obtained this by reading and re-reading many books and magazines and loved sharing what she learned with asking, "Did you know......" and always trying to stump her son-in-law with questions she thought he wouldn't know the answers too. Above all, Bonnie's top priority was ALWAYS her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and deeply adored by all. She is survived by daughter, Theresa (Bruce) Moore and Son, Richard (Donna) Conaway; Granddaughter, Shannon M. (Mike) Welton; and great-granddaughters, Emma & Ella Welton. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 71 years, as well as 3 sisters and 1 brother. A private graveside service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elara Caring Hospice, 1530 West Market St., Akron, Ohio 44313 in Bonnie's honor.
