Bonnie L. Gardner

Bonnie L. Gardner, age 68 of Massillon, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 2, 2011. She was born on November 10, 1943 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late Rolla and Marjorie (Kelly) Gardner. Bonnie was a member of The Salvation Army of Massillon where she spent much of her time volunteering. She had a gentle spirit that embraced everyone. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Eleanor Neace, Loretta Gardner, Arizona Fisher, Shirley Young and Ramona Elavsky. She is survived by her sister, Carol J. Gardner, her brothers, Robert (Evelyn) Gardner, Jack Gardner and Gary Gardner and many nieces and nephews, including her niece Ann, whom she was very close with. Also surviving is her dog, Sandy who was her constant companion. A service to celebrate the life of Bonnie L. Gardner will take place on Friday, August 5, 2011 at The Salvation Army of Massillon, 315 – 6th Street N.E. at 11:00 A.M. with Captains Kevin and Tawny Cowen-Zanders officiating. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. and at the church one hour before the service.
