Blanche Elizabeth Pruitt Iii

Blanche Elizabeth Pruitt III, 27, of Canton, Ohio, gained her wings on July 21, 2024. She was born on February 11, 1997 in Phoenix, Arizona to DeVona Pruitt-Hamlet and Lester Pruitt.

Blanche was unable to communicate from birth, but she had her own way of talking to the people she loved. She was always full of laughter and always making different sounds to express her feelings. She loved music, and loved to celebrate. Her favorite movie was Princess and the Frog. Blanche was a fighter, she always found positivity even in the difficult moments. She was strong minded, determined, and above all she was kind and compassionate to others.

She is preceded in death by her great-grandmother and caregiver, Margaret H. Peak (Chappell) Dampier; great-grandparents, James and Willie Bell Jones; uncle and godfather, Dennis Kindell.

Blanche is survived by her loving mother DeVona Hamlet; her one and only brother, Dominick D.C. Burns; niece, Zaylee Burns; grandmother, Blanche E. Jones II; grandfather, James Jones Jr.; aunt and godmother, Janine R. Jones Kindell; special uncle, Myron W. Peak; great-great aunt Annie Jones; great aunts, Lolita James, Yolanda Mance, and Angela Chappell; cousins, Shaniqua (Michael) Randolph, Asia Jones, and Chyna Kindell; and a host of other relatives.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
