Bishop Ike Woods, Jr. 80, went to be with his Lord and Saviour, on August 18, 2017, following an extended illness. He was born in Montgomery, AL on March 19, 1937 to the late Ike and Lucinda (Cheeley) Woods, Sr. Bishop Woods was the Pastor of True Church House of Prayer To All Nation’s, Inc., Massillon and Wooster, Ohio, Assistant National Presiding Bishop (State Bishop of Ohio), Diocese of West Virginia, Diocese of Michigan. “A Giant and a General fell asleep faithful onto death.”. He was a true public servant and minister to the surrounding communities. He is survived by his wife, Karen (Henderson) Woods; children, April (Sam) Cavalier, Alfred (Alisha) Woods, Rachel Brinson, Marilyn “Peaches” (Jeffrey )Sanborn, Evelyn Caldwell, Bishop Isaac (Sherry) Woods, Sr., Mike Woods and Maurice (Angela) Woods; step-children, Tammie Ballard, Clarence Irwin, Jr. and Alice Marie Hastings; sister, Rosa Cowlings and brother, Lonnie Woods ; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; and 21 step-great-grandchildren. “The Bishop will Lay in State” Friends may gather at the Calvary Assembly of God, 2061 Wadsworth Rd, Orrville, Ohio 44667 on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10:00am-11:00am with a Home Going Celebration to be held at 11:00am, The National Council of Bishops, and Elders, presiding. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Orrville.
