Billy E. Carter

Billy E. Carter age 68 of Navarre went home to be with the Lord Wednesday February 21, 2007 after an extended illness. He was born June 23, 1938 in Proctorville, OH to the late Harold & Cuba (Burd) Carter. Bill lived most of his life in Navarre. He retired from J & L Steel in Louisville in 1994. Bill was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. Bill enjoyed working on cars and playing Bluegrass music on his guitar. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Valine (Burd) Carter of the residence. In addition there are 7 children and spouses: Kathy Conzen of Massillon; Earl D. and Tina Carter of Kitts Hills, OH; Tammy and John Karahuta of Navarre; Larry and Tonya Carter of Navarre; Sharon and Jeff Stahlman of Beach City; Kevin and Denise Carter of Massillon; and Carrie Carter of Massillon. There are 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and one sister, Francis and one brother, Jim living out of state. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
