Beverly Russman

Beverly Harwig Russman, age 74, died peacefully in her home on August 4, 2010, after a short battle with cancer. She passed from this life into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by her loving family, devoted friends, and beloved pets. She was preceded in death by her mother, Aleen Hodge; father, Barney Harwig; and brother, Bill Harwig. She is survived by her three children: Michael Mahr, Denise Voccola, and Patricia Gorski; her nine grandchildren: Kelly Voccola Lynam, Michael Voccola Jr., Ryan Voccola, Tessa Voccola, Rachael Mahr, Justin Mahr, Matthew Mahr, Gregory Gorski, and Kerry Gorski Soliday ; and her four great-grandchildren: Ross Lynam, Nate Lynam, Kenzie Lynam, and Hayden Soliday. She is also survived by her five siblings: Donald Harwig, Kay Harwig Smith, Dennis Harwig, Bob Harwig, and Cary Paul Harwig as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Beverly, a long-time Massillon resident, was born on November 27, 1935 in Akron, Iowa. She will be remembered as one who loved unconditionally and gave generously from a heart of compassion. She found peace in her final days in the words of the Apostle Paul: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8. The family will receive friends Friday August 6th from 1 to 2 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE followed by a memorial service at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
