Beverly Lou Rodgers, age 71 of Canton, Ohio, passed away on April 15, 2020. She was born on February 8, 1949 in Richwood, West Virginia to John Sr. and Elizabeth Butcher. Beverly graduated from Timken High School in 1967. She married Robert on February 17, 1968. She loved making quilts for loved ones. She attended First Lutheran, Bethel Lutheran, and Holy Trinity Lutheran Churches. She was a member of the Alter Guild, and taught Sunday School, and the Sassy Scissors. Beverly was active in Cub Scouts, where she was an assistant Cub Master, Webelos Leader, Boy Scout Assistant Scout Master, Scout Master and Camp Master. She held a 5th year pipe stone, was a First Lady in Order of Arrow Rank of Brotherhood, and did Wood Badge. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Sharon Barcus, and Baby James Gadd. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert, children, David Rodgers, John (Sheri) Rodgers, Kerry Rodgers, and Robert Rodgers, brothers, John (Becky) Butcher and Gregory Butcher, sister, O’nita Butcher, sisters and brothers-in-law, John (Donna) Salmen, and Edmund (Judy) Walton, best friends, Mary Ann McGowan and Scott T. Powell, as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. A private family service will be held. She will be laid to rest at North Lawn Cemetery. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
