Bev Hamric

Bev Hamric, 80, of Massillon, passed away on October 6, 2019. She was born on November 4, 1938 to the late Virgil and Grace (Newman) Martin. Bev worked as a cardiac lab technician for the former Massillon Community Hospital and retired from there after 20 years. In her spare time, Bev enjoyed gardening, going on cruises, and antiquing in Amish country with her daughter Sherrie. Her greatest passion in life was being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Spending time with her family was always a priority to Bev and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She will be deeply missed by her children Sherrie Walker, Todd (Cindy) Ward, Susan (Mike) Jorden and John Ward, Sr.; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her very special niece, Pam Fitch. In addition to her parents, Bev was preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Hoover. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 11a.m. to 1p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A funeral service will begin promptly at 1 p.m. and burial will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
