Betty Jean Specogna

Betty Jean Specogna, age 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

Betty was born on March 31, 1928 in Brewster, OH to the late Josh Price and Mary Fetters.

Betty was an active parishioner of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Massillon, OH for nearly all her life. She was very dedicated to her faith and her service. In 1987, Betty retired from Superior Meats as a laborer. Betty thrived on connecting with people in their homes as well as nursing homes, providing companionship during challenging times, and bringing joy and hope to those in need. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Betty is survived by her daughter-in-law, Dolores Specogna; granddaughters Margie (Mike) Hartmann and Donna (Johnny Karahuta) Smith; great grandson Chris (Shannon) Smith; great-great grandsons Talan, Bode, and Cruz Smith; sister Donna Viles; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, William T. Specogna Sr. and son, William T. Specogna Jr.

Cremation has taken place. Private graveside services will be held at a later date in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. In Betty’s memory, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
