Betty Louise Thomas

Betty Louise Thomas, 90, of Navarre, passed away on June 2, 2022. Betty was born in Belle, West Virginia on September 19, 1931, the daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Keeney) Thomas. Betty worked at the Massillon State Hospital as a nurses aid. She played piano and sang in the choir at St. George Greek Orthodox Church where she was a member for over 30 years. She was a huge Massillon Tiger Football fan. She loved helping anyone she could, and always did it with a smile. Betty loved her family, her grandchildren and her beloved cat, Buddy as well. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Gandee, and brother-in-law, Darrell. She is survived by her children; John (Carla) Tarrou, Tina Tarrou, Greg (Lois) Tarrou, and Alexandra Tarrou; grandchildren, Andra (Chris) Bungard, Megan Mars (Jeremy Horley), Alexis Tarrou, Michael Tarrou; great-grandchildren Michael and Austin Bungard; brother, Okey (Patsy) Thomas and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. There will be no calling hours or services. Cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stark County Humane Society.
